Dear Prospective Student:
Welcome to the College of the Muscogee Nation website. I hope you enjoy your visit as you explore the educational opportunities that the College of the Muscogee Nation has to offer.
First, I would like to welcome you to the great Muscogee (Creek) Nation and to encourage you to become involved in the Muscogee (Creek) Nation's effort to provide a college education for its citizens. As you become aware of the opportunities that the Muscogee (Creek) Nation has to offer please share them with your friends and relatives.
The College of the Muscogee Nation was established to serve Muscogee citizens and other citizens with the history, government, and culture of the Muscogee people as its primary focus. Education has always been a significant part of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation history. Since the beginning of CMN, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Principal Chief A.D. Ellis and the National Council have expressed support through legislation on numerous occasions that the tribal college is a priority.
CMN and the Oklahoma State University system have collaborated to offer a variety of general education and tribally related courses through Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology-Okmulgee and OSU-Oklahoma City. This partnership has resulted in an outstanding and rewarding experience for our students. In addition, we are an associate member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium.
We offer excellent scholarship opportunities and have friendly, professional advisors on hand to help you with the admissions and enrollment process. We have recently renovated the Learning Resource Center for tutoring and computer services, as well as our administration building for college staff. The Learning Resource Center and classrooms are located on the OSUIT-Okmulgee campus. In the near future we will begin construction on a new campus and building. Phase one will be a 20,000 sq. ft. facility that will include 8 classrooms, media center, faculty offices, and a student commons. This is a very exciting time for our students, staff, faculty, Regents and the Muscogee Nation.
Finally, as president I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your pursuit of a brighter future. For further information concerning the College of the Muscogee Nation, you may contact our staff at (918) 758-1480 or faculty on the OSUIT campus. If you prefer, feel free to visit us at our administration building located at 600 North Mission Lane in Okmulgee. Have a nice day and thank you for visiting the College of the Muscogee Nation website!
Sincerely,
Robert Bible
President,
College of the Muscogee Nation
