CMN BILLING POLICIES/DUE DATES

Payment of Accounts

As a result of CMN's partnership with OSUIT, payments are made at the OSUIT Bursar's Office. Accounts are payable for the fall, spring and summer sessions by the first day of each class. A late payment penalty of 1% per month will be assessed on delinquent accounts. All CMN Students enrolled more than 6 hours per session are required to complete the FAFSA and provide any additional documents requested to the OSUIT Student Financial Services Office before the CMN Scholarship and/or Tuition Waiver/Grant will be paid. The tribal college and/or OSUIT reserves the right to withhold grades, academics transcripts and diplomas until all financial obligations to the colleges are satisfied. Students with delinquent accounts will not be permitted to complete enrollment or attend class.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Question: HOW AND WHEN WILL I GET MY CMN SCHOLARSHIP or CMN TUITION WAIVER/GRANT?

Answer:
Your CMN Scholarship or CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant will be paid to your OSUIT Bursar Account within the first six weeks of the term, if you have filed the 2010-2011 FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov by two weeks before the beginning of the term (for degree-seeking students enrolled six hours or more) and:

Completed the following:

1. CMN Scholarship or CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant Application

2. CMN consent forms for Student Financial Aid Release of Information and the Student Account Release of Information

3. OSUIT Bursar Authorization Form

4. Provided a copy of your tribal citizenship card to your advisor or the CMN registration office

5. Submitted any additional information requested by the OSUIT Student Financial Services Office, such as verification documents, SAP Appeal Form, etc.

Question:  WHAT AFFECTS THE AMOUNT OF MY CMN SCHOLARSHIP or CMN TUITION WAIVER/GRANT?

Answer:
It depends on how much you receive from other financial aid (Pell, OTAG, etc.). Remember—amounts of the CMN Scholarship and the CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant are determined by your enrollment in credit hours that lead toward a CMN Degree. If you still owe a balance to OSUIT after all other forms of financial aid grants have been credited to your OSUIT Bursar account, we (CMN) will apply the CMN Scholarship or Tuition Waiver/Grant funds to the remaining balance due on your student account. Thus, all of this information is used to determine the amount of your CMN Scholarship. However, the maximum award for the CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant is $1,500 per term. If you have a zero balance on your OSUIT Bursar Account, you may not receive the CMN Scholarship or CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant.

Question:  HOW WILL I GET TEXTBOOKS FOR MY CLASSES?

Answer:
They can be charged to your OSUIT Bursar Account at the OSUIT Bookstore. The CMN Scholarship and CMN Tuition Waiver/Grant pay for CMN textbooks that are required on CMN course syllabi for CMN coursework.

Question:  HOW WILL I GET SUPPLIES FOR MY CLASSES?

Answer:      WE HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR DEGREE-SEEKING CMN STUDENTS TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES (NON DEGREE-SEEKING CMN STUDENTS MAY RECEIVE ONLY NEEDED SUPPLIES) :

Backpack (Once during CMN academic career)
